Don Learmonth

Prior to becoming a Director and Partner in Global Dairy Network, Don Learmonth had 25 years working for Fonterra and its legacy companies in the global dairy business. He has held a number of Senior Sales and General Management positions in the USA, Europe, Middle East, North Africa and New Zealand and lived in USA, Germany, Bahrain and Egypt over the past 14 years. He has also travelled and worked extensively in Asia and Latin America during his time in the Dairy Industry.

Since moving to the USA in 2002 Don has been involved in the US Dairy Industry, has a wide network of key customers and local suppliers of Dairy Ingredients as well as in depth knowledge of the US market and import/export requirements. He is a past President of Fonterra and a director of several subsidiary companies.

Don holds a Commerce degree in Business and is a graduate of the International Executive Development programme at Insead (France), and of management programmes at Kellogg School of Business at North Western and Colombia School of Business. Before joining the dairy industry Don had 5 years working for BP Oil in New Zealand.
